How to Post

Step 1) Go to the website

Easy Steps on How to Post on Your Blog!

Step 2) On the top of the page you will see a plus sign (+) followed by “New”. Hover your mouse over this tab.

Step 3) There will be a drop link that has options for “Post”, “Media”, and “Document”. Click on “Post”.

Step 4) Enter a Title for your post.

Step 5) Once you are done with your post, on the right hand side of your screen, make sure you categorize your post by selecting the class you are in under “Categories”.

Step 6)  Select a tag under the “Tags” section on the right hand side.

Step 7) Select a featured image under the “Featured Image” section on the right hand side by clicking “Set featured image”.

Step 8) Finally, Click Publish on the upper right hand corner.

How To Make A Blog Post

  1. Go to url https://art1010shawfall18.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
  2. Log in using your username and password
  3. Select the proper class section (9:30)
  4. At the top left, run the cursor over the (+) plus sign that reads “New” next to it.
  5. A drop down menu will appear. Your options will read, ‘Post’, ‘Media’, and ‘Document’
  6. If you would like to type a post, click “Post”. If you will attach a document that you have already typed through a separate application, click “Document”. For any other additional media, click ‘Media’.
  7. Title your document.
  8. Select ‘Publish’ to complete the making of your post! ALL DONE!

Make an account with the Commons. Then on our class site write up instructions on how to post.

1. You go to the class site and you select our 9:30 AM class.

2. After clicking on the link, there will be our classmates blogs and there will be a plus button that says posts, documents and media.

3. You select post to start posting on our blog post site.

4. Must have a title, image and minimum of 250 word count or more on some blog post.

5. Remember to save and tag the blog. Publish it when you are ready to post it up for everyone to see.
