- First, you will register for commons.gc.cuny/edu and log in to your account.
- After you have registered you will click on the tab labeled “Sites” and select a site. For our class it is Fall 2018 Art 1010 at Brooklyn College.
- Next, click on the following tab to start following our class page.
- If you are not already added to the group click the “Add yourself” tab on the left.
- To start a new post click the tab labeled “+New”.
- Once you click the “+New” tab you create a title indicating what your post will be about.
- You fill in the body section with your work.
- Once you have finished typing your piece you cant attach pictures by clicking the ” Add Media” tab on the upper left hand corner. You have the option of going to your files to upload new content or using images from the media library.
- After you are done typing your piece select a category and a tag. To select a category click on the group you belong to or are posting for. Underneath the Category box the “Tag Sticky” box allows you to choose what type of assignment you are posting.
- Once you’ve completed steps 1-9 click the “Publish” button on the right.
